CTR Review
Released in September 2010, this fourth generation iPod Touch is smaller in size, and larger in power. Most notably, the two cameras allow better quality video and still shots, as well as Facetime, a Wi-Fi-based video sharing application. Facetime is expected on next year's iPad. Other features resemble the last generation iPod Touch. A speaker allows you to hear songs or game-related sounds without headphones, and there are now a number of apps that can make phone calls over a Wi-Fi network. For quality sound, you must plug in the included earbuds or your own external speakers.

Most iPod content can only be managed by a computer running iTunes, so a host computer is recommended. Considering the number of apps the new iPod Touch now runs, this is the leading portable interactive delivery system for children, surpassing the Nintendo DS and other handheld systems such as the Leapster.
