Ideal for a younger child's first musical app, this is a noisy, easy to control music making experience.
There are two options from the main menu, you can either "join the band" (playing a melody over a looping vamp with a group of Sesame Street friends) or explore six generally responsive musical instruments. Songs are simple and catchy, including a reggae version of “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” and a milk jug band rendition of “Old MacDonald.” There's a nice variety and the instruments sound authentic.
This is a "touch and it works" experience, almost sure to provide your child with a successful first experience. This is a well designed, easy to use musical sandbox that makes it easy for a child to explore things like pitch and musical styles. Created by Sesame Workshop and IDEO with the support of NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants).
